Become a Leader

Volunteers are crucial to the 4-H program. Without volunteers clubs couldn't run, members couldn't travel, projects couldn't happen. You do not have to be an "expert" to be a 4-H leader; you only need enthusiasm and a desire to make a positive impact in a child's life. Parents and caregivers play a critical role in volunteering with the program to support our members. Leaders support and strengthen the skills of each club member and strive to make their 4-H experience educational and fun!

Benefits of becoming a 4-H Leader:
  • Satisfaction, personal development, and fulfillment through working with youth.
  • Enhance leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Opportunities for leadership training, personal growth and travel.
  • Become part of the 4-H family!

Each club must have two (2) fully screened Leaders to officially be a Club. Leaders come from all different walks of life, from 4-H alumni, to parents, to grandparents and retired folks looking to share their time and talents. 4-H New Brunswick is a safe and welcoming place where we are constantly seeking adults to share their talents in the development of youth.

Because 4-H New Brunswick values the safety of its members, all Leaders must complete a Volunteer Screening Process.
