4-H Chaperone Citizenship Seminar

WHERE IS THE SEMINAR?

The seminar is to be held in Ottawa, Ontario.

WHEN IS IT?

The 2003 seminar dates have yet to be announced.

WHO GETS TO GO?

One (1) leader to chaperone six (6) delegates from New Brunswick.

WHAT IS IT?

It is an excellent members conference focused on exchanging ideas and thus developing an understanding and appreciation of other Canadians, increasing awareness and understanding of the role, rights and responsibilities of a Canadian citizen and the structure and functions of the Canadian government system.  The seminar also provides an opportunity to become more familiar with our capital city, visit the House of Commons and Citizenship Court, and tour historical points of interest in the Ottawa area.  Leaders must have completed at least two years to qualify.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The registration fee is paid by the NB 4-H Council, but some spending money will be required.  Travel costs to and from the airport will be the responsibility of the Council.
