WHERE IS THE W. GARFIELD WESTON FOUNDATION 4-H UNITED KINGDOM EXCHANGE? It is an exchange between Canada and the United Kingdom. WHEN IS IT HELD?
Canadian dates to be announced/depends on interest. WHO GETS TO GO? One delegate from Ontario, Quebec and AlbertaDelegates must be 18 years of age by January 1, 2003. Delegates are NOT eligible if they have participated in an
international program prior to 2003. Delegates should preferably be intent in a career in agriculture, fisheries, or forestry. Delegates must have been in the 4-H program for at least two years, and have been active
members within the last two years. Delegates must be prepared to be actively involved in the program.
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES? This program provides the delegate the opportunity to participate in an educational travel
opportunity to build on existing skills and leadership.
- To establish international friendships.
- To exchange information, ideas, and become aware of potential agriculture, food and natural resources technology transfer.
- To broaden their outlook on the world by experiencing another cultural environment.
- To host a young adult from another country.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? W. Garfield Weston Foundation sponsors this program, however there is a $550.00 registration fee for each delegate. WHEN DO I HAVE TO APPLY?
