National 4-H Careers Conference

Where is the Careers Conference?

The Conference is to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

When is it?

The 2003 Conference dates have yet to be announced. Contact the NB 4-H Council office for more information.

Who gets to go?

Two senior delegates from each province will join the delegates from Manitoba.

What are the objectives?

è To learn of the extent of career opportunities available in various fields, including agriculture.

è To receive guidance in choosing a career, and to be encouraged to consider some aspects of agriculture in making this choice.

è To appreciate the importance of agriculture in Canada's economy.

è To exchange ideas and develop an understanding and appreciation of other Canadians and their 4-H programs

è To travel and become familiar with another part of Canada.

è To build and enhance public awareness of 4-H.

How much does it cost?

The Canadian 4-H Council sponsors this conference, however there is a $315.00 registration fee per delegate.  

When do I have to apply?

The deadline for the submission of names is November 30 ^th, 2002.
